Ruby-Spears Superman(animated) coming to DVD
According to TVShowsonDVD.com all 13 episodes will come to DVD on Nov. 3rd,2009. Cool. I wonder if they will ever release Batman 60s Filmation along with Superboy 60s Filmation. Still waiting on the unreleased Superboy tv series from the 90s.

I was just thinking about this animated series today while watching the 4th disc of JLU Season 2. I was surprised that the Ruby-Spears cartoons were not released back when the Superman Returns marketing was taking place.
By the way, the 1st Season of Superboy was released

Is this the one where Superman bends the Washington Monument backwards to slingshot something into the distance? If so I might be in.

Woah...I was way off. That was right around 8th/9th grade and my Saturday morning cartoon watching was pretty much over. No wonder I didn't remember it well.
I will still pick it up though.
Was there a Superman series done around the time of The New Adventures Of Batman & Robin (late 70's with Batmite)? I could have sworn that there was a Superman show around or after that time.
I freaking love that Batman show. My 5 year old loves it now (I was around the same age at the time it was originally shown) and it is a blast to see him loving it like I did, cheesiness and all. It's fun just hearing Adam West and Burt Ward's voices in the background with the overused music cues from ALL of Filmation's cartoons (and live action shows) and the one guy who seemed to do every villain's voice in EVERY cartoon at that time.
Plastic Man is coming next month and I am super psyched about that as well. I know the boy will love it too and I get the pleasure of watching these all over again!
Please...please release Thundarr The Barbarian next. Pretty please.

The New Adventures of Superman? Is this the one?
