Re: Unwatched Movie Pile: June 09

unseen films on disc to watch: at least a thousand, but I've been averaging 1/day since April 2008

two TV seasons per month:
Oz Season 5
Oz Season 6 - While I expect it to be surpassed once I finish watching Homicide, The Shield, The Sopranos, and Six Feet Under; Oz is the best written dramatic series I've ever seen.

three "MST3K" DVDs per month:
The Doomsday Machine - Cinematic Titanic
The Wasp Woman - Cinematic Titanic - Great riff, nice to have Joel back in the fold.
Killers in Space - The Film Crew

discs watched:
June 01 - Lords of Dogtown - Bought this only because I collect exclusives and Blockbuster had exclusive footage on it. Didn't expect to enjoy it, but a nicely done film. Not Heath Ledger's best work, but it was nice to see him.
June 02 - The Lost City - Another purchase only because it had an exclusive at Target. Could have been a half hour or so shorter, but fairly good story about Havana at the time of the revolution.
June 03 - Meet the Feebles - Very fun film actually, but if I had seen Peter Jackson's work before LOTR I would have been even more surprised at how good the trilogy turned out.
June 04 - Monster in the Closet - Very mediocre Troma film.
June 05 - Murder 101 - I'm a sucker for Pierce Brosnan, so that's probably why I enjoyed this dollar store find.
June 06 - My Bloody Valentine - Expected to enjoy it more, and doubt I'll watch it again.
June 07 - Lost in Space - This came free with my first DVD player back in 1999 (which died last month, sadly). Not a fine wine, as aging it before watching did not improve it. Pretty much crap.
June 08 - Nymphoid Barbarian in Dinosaur Hell - Watching this was hell.
June 09 - Orgazmo - Love South Park, was expecting to at least like this. But no, this is perhaps the worst movie I've seen all year, if not ever. Was it supposed to be a comedy? Because I never laughed, or even smiled. And it wasn't even trashy/raunchy, just bad attempts at humor.
June 10 - The Neverending Story -
June 11 - The Neverending Story II -
June 12 - Night at the Museum -
June 13 - Next -
June 14 - The Nutty Professor -
June 15 - Dr. Strangelove -
June 16 - Open Water -
June 17 - The Pacifier -
June 18 - Charlie Chan in London -
June 19 - Charlie Chan in Paris -
June 20 - Charlie Chan in Egypt -
June 21 - Charlie Chan in Shanghai -
June 22 - Charlie Chan Carries On -
June 23 - The Facts of Life - Nice Bob Hope and Lucille Ball comedy.
June 24 - Pete's Dragon - I'm usually a fan of old Disney films, but didn't enjoy this much.
June 25 - The Powerpuff Girls -
June 26 - Penny Dreadful -
June 27 - Pokemon the Movie -
June 28 - The Gunfighter -
June 29 - Garden of Evil -
June 30 - The Parent Trap - The original, loved it.

New titles bought:
The Searchers - Blu-ray, $7.99, Amazon

I've decided to not track this section anymore, to avoid much despair and misery.
