Battle of the Blu-ray Cover Art - Kramer vs. Kramer

Previous battle here...
http://forum.dvdtalk.com/hd-talk/552...ter-earth.html

Not a great selection, once again, for this weeks battle. Tough to find many "K" titles that have varied cover art.

What is your favorite cover art?

U.S.

U.K.

It's U.K. for me. I know everyone always complains about the rating logo's, but you can't do much about that. I like the simplicity and format of it. The U.S. one looks like they are just trying to cram too much stuff on it.

It is just displaying DVD Active things for each of them for me. No cover art.

They both suck this time. The US has too much crammed onto it. The UK isn't much better with the tacky Oscar box and the two pictures overlapping.

Yeah, what's with the little picture in the bottom left corner of the US cover? It looks really odd, offset from the main image. It would look okay if it were the main image only.

US cover looks like the JC Penny portrait studio took the picture

Yeah, they both suck. I had hoped with Blu-Ray, they would drop the horrible box art that became the norm on DVD and start going with original poster art.

Yeah they both really do suck, but since this is all for fun I voted anyway. While the U.K. sucks, it doesn't suck as much as the U.S. art.

The U.S. one is super goofy and makes the film look like a Lifetime Original Movie, though the U.K. has that pointless pictoral overlap. U.K. it is!

If it's a movie about divorce, then why in the hell does the US version feature Ted and Joanna doing the side hug thing?

Re: Battle of the Blu-ray Cover Art - Kramer vs. Kramer

The goofy picture (aka. Sears family portrait) of the family hugging is actually from the theatrical poster:

If I recall, the context of the family hug thing was that it was from a photograph during happier times in the characters lives. They should've zoomed out more and showed that it was from a photograph on the Blu-Ray cover.

Neither are that great, but the UK one is better, IMO.
