Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad
Has anyone had the chance to play this game yet?
Metacritic has an extremely low score for it, but I noticed that pretty much every review pointed out how they thought the game was shallow, but I'm perfectly fine with a tacky game full of zombies and bikini-clad women.

Any thoughts from anyone who has played it would be great!

I always get confused... is this the Wii one or the 360 one you're asking about?

If they wanted to make a crap game, and target it at sex-starved teens, they should have just gone all the way and made them naked, along with 1000 achievements for popping a boner.

Sounds kinda like rumble roses XX - which was fairly well made - but the stupid achievements and costumes took an obscene amount of grinding through the exact same fights with the exact same characters to unlock (on a fairly limited # of arenas). I musta won over a dozen matches each with 3 or 4 of the characters and never once got offered a title fight - and most of the extras require multiple title wins vs. specific characters to unlock.

I bought this and while it isn't great, I've had fun with it. I tend to like most games with zombies, at least for a while. It is simplistic and not gorgeous to look at, but it has some charm.

I think that's why he threw in "beta" since betas don't play well.
Not to drag this out longer (I think we all know what he meant), but it's a valid point. There have been a lot of gameplay changes, especially in games that use 3d, in the past 10 years. 2D Dreamcast games are still as awesome as ever, no doubt. I think it's legitimate to be down on a game that still plays and looks like, say, Sonic Adventure, in this day and age.
