Aren't parodies usually supposed to be slightly funny? Just wondering, because this episode was really shitty. I didn't crack a slight smile the entire time.

I thought this was a pretty good and funny episode.

The couch gag made laugh. Have there really been 429 different couch gags? I thought they reused some of them.

"Everyone paint me 20 laps."

Willie breaking off 2 metal rake prongs, sticking them in his ear and nodding at Chief Wiggum who has 2 guns in his ear was a great sight gag.

Tuition Academy - "Scholarship Free Zone." - Another place Lisa can't go to.

Nice discussion about the candy:

Plain M&M's - Cheap.
Peanut M&M's - Possible allergy.
Charleston Chew - "What is this? Brooklyn in the 50's?"
Almond Joy - It's in two pieces so it looks like you didn't think of the other person, but did.

Normal Childhood Behavior and Bart disproving it right away, although it was weird seeing him getting dishes and setting the table.

Homer's quote "We would be murderers if it wasn't for kids." was hilarious.

The John Grisham titles namedropped in the episode:

The Firm.
The Pelican Brief.
The Client.
A Time to Kill.

Willie arriving at Ellis Island as Dr. William McDougal and leaving as Groundskeeper Willie. A nod to The Godfather Part II?

Clam-elot - The local seafood eatery that went out of business rapidly. I wonder if Captain McCallister had something to do with it?

I really didn't care for this episode at all. I did laugh twice - once with the Darth Vader/Maliby Stacy in hockey tape bit with Nelson, and "Bart Simpson: Age 10" dressed as a ninja and flying over the fence and crashing. That was hysterical. I just thought it was a bizarre episode.. they seemed to be on the right track this season, but they kind of missed the mark with this one.

I'd put this somewhere in my Bottom 10 of all-time episodes. I don't think I'd rewatch again if given the chance.
