I knew this was coming, but what a shame--they were great to get the extra 10% at Best Buy and vice-versa (if you could actually find the product at Circuit City).

I stopped at one CC today and asked about the releases for tomorrow and got the usual response of the blank look and the "dunno", check back tomorrow. And this was from a manager no less!

My local Circuit City never, ever put new releases out on their street date. I doubt they'd start now.

Ahh, well. I guess I dont even need to bother looking at the sale prices, as they wont be honored anyway. That's if they get the new releases. I never liked shopping at circuit city anyway. Could never find anything in that store.

As of this morning an associate told me over the phone that the stores will have the new releases today. Can anyone confirm?

Well I got a surprizing deal yesterday, walked in just looking for something else and noticed a tag that had been on Scooby Doo Bluray for several weeks was now gone, and I made mention of it to my daughter "See they bump all the prices up and then add the discount" and she asked how much it was and there was a tag on the movie 6.99 but it also said Mars Attack. I said we can try to fight it but you know were not going to get it at this price right, so we tried and sure enough it rang up 24.99 and Bluray's dont count towards the 20% off only cd's,dvd's I told the guy but it says 6.99 and he looked said but it says Mars Attack but then said but you know what I dont care and rerang it up 6.99.

Well, of course they COULD, but they'd have to stop and pay attention to every instance of that.
It'd be bad for 'em if they did tho (all the folks doing that) since it'd mean no unemployment...but, oh well, their choice.

I occasionally think about working in a closing store just to be able to say and do some of those things that I'd like to anyway...

None of this week's ad deals are good at my CC. What a waste of my time.

Yea, that was total BS! They put out the ad so they should honor it but was told that CC has no longer any control over it. Liquidators decision. Still got the "Saw V" exclusive for $17 and change with the 20% off so I guess its not all that bad. A little cheaper than Best Buy's price.

They had to go in the back to get the new releases. They were on sale, the csr said they were already in the system.
