I e-mailed Time Life a few days ago regarding the postcard and here is the response I received:

I have noted on the account that you will be accepting this delay. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience. This product is still set to ship on November 15, 2008

They didn't even acknowledge that it was an error on their part. What really baffles me is that the set was never delayed in the first place... Anyway, it would definitely be safe to send them an e-mail if you received the card if you want to keep your pre-order as the initial pressing will run in limited quantities.
