Dirty Sexy Money - The Family Lawyer - 10/08/08

"The Family Lawyer" 10/08/08

Spoiler:
The Darlings deal with funeral arrangements and the aftermath of the arrest of a suspect in the murder of Dutch George; Jeremy discovers Nola Lyons' real profession; Lisa and Nick talk about having another child; Kenny G performs.

Depending on the number of replies this thread gets - we could possibly go down to a season long thread next week.

WTF on that last bit in the spoiler!

Sorry I missed the last thread, didn't get a chance to watch the premiere until this weekend. What happened to Jeremy's twin? I can't even remember her name now, but I thought it odd she was the only character that didn't have an appearance or even a mention.

he's going to perform at the funeral.

No mention was made of her at all in the premiere. Her name was Juliet and good riddance now that I have had time to think it over. Armstrong's limits as an actress beamed bright when she acted opposite anyone else in the cast.

The actress had some "issues" and earlier this year they said she wouldn't return. However, around July they said she'd be back. But I still don't think she'll get as much screen time as before.

That's just fine by me. I'm not missing her as there's plenty of other eye candy on the show anyway

Weird, that's not ringing a bell. I guess I need to go back to the last thread and read that.

Oh, and Lucy Lui is hideous. I hope she doesn't stick around for long.

Wow, I think someone even edited her out of the DSM Wiki page! I swear I saw a mention of this daughter and I remember mentioning here in the last DSM thread. I even saw that she was supposedly in the last ep. She was listed as the eldest Darling girl. Now it seems Karen is the eldest girl.

Is her character married and under another name or is she gone?

Wow.

I love this show. I have heard in the past that Donald Sutherland is a real son of a bitch, but he owns here.

The first season was great and the second is looking like it may even be better.

This is the show I look most forward to. It also gets watched immediately from the dvr. I love the pace of it and the way everyone is manipulating one another, with each charcter thinking they're in control.

The line about having paid Kenny G for two songs had me laughing out loud. Actually, just the presence of Kenny G had me laughing. Jeremy's line just made it all that much funnier.

The guys marching in with the $20 million was great. I'd love nothing more than to do that on a smaller scale in one of my cases for once. Of course, I represent the indigent. That's not compatible with cases full of money marched in by bank reps.

I don't care for her either. The show is still great, but would be even better without her.

Argg. My damn DVR cut out right when Tripp pulled Nick into the room and said 'I've known him for so long..." did I miss anything after that?

Also, nice to see them mention Juliet who is "away on some island".

So they just swept Juliet (Samaire Armstrong) under the rug?

I loved that. Never see that on Law & Order.

Is that when he wants him to meet someone while Nick is talking to Lisa? If so - you didn't miss anything except for the perfectly symbolic Godfather homage with Tripp closing the door on Lisa.

----

Just got around to watching the episode and it sure was good. I do wish that more people were watching as I don't want this excellent show canceled!

I was actually really shocked when Tripp picked Nick. I had a feeling he wasn't going to pick Brian, but I thought he would have picked Karen to screw over Nick, Brian and Simon.

You and I were on the same page. I thought for sure he'd be picking Karen.

Now that I think about it, picking Simon would have been an even bigger shock. I think there will be a reconciliation of that sort eventually, but it is still probably a bit early.

Simon. Patrick wouldn't be shocking at all, seeing as how he's the eldest son.
