give me some movies that could make me cry

Alright so my girlfriend cries during virtually every movie and I always make fun of her so she's actually willing to buy a bunch of movies to try and make me cry. The movies won't really be my cup of tea but whatever seems like a fun challenge and I'm always willing to add to the collection.

So I come to you my fellow dvdtalkers for suggestions, what are the saddest movies ever?

While I wouldn't necessarily tag it with the phrase "saddest movie ever", this challenge sounds like a great opportunity for you to make IKIRU a part of your film collection.

I must admit to getting a bit misty-eyed during Good Bye Lenin!.

The closest I've gotten is the ending of Big Fish.

Unless tears of boredom count, in which case I have a laundry list.

I remember getting a little choked up watching certain parts of "Without Limits" and "Mask."

I know you didn't ask for TV shows, but depending on the show, they seem to invest you a little more emotionally than a movie can in 2 hours. The two that were definitely tear-jerkers are the last episodes of both "Babylon 5" and "M.A.S.H."

E.T.

This movie always makes me cry. Always. It was on TV the other day and my wife watched me bawl through the whole thing. She held me hand as I cried and cried when Gertie cried. What kind of man am I? No man at all.
