Help for a Wii Newbie

hello -

The wife wants to invest in a Wii this upcoming holiday season. I don't know a thing about it. I have two kids, ages 11 and 8 who enjoy their DS.

What am I going to have to get for the both of them to be able to play it?

Thanks
Tim

Not much, other then games.

You'll need a remote and nunchuk for each additional person. The system comes with one of each. So, at a minimum you would want an additional one. If you want to be able to have the whole family play some of the party type games, you'd need 3 more of each.

If you have an HDTV, you'll want to invest in the Component cables over the ones that come with the Wii. The picture does look better with component cables.

Get the Wii System, It comes with everything you need to play out of the box.

Additional wiimote (Buy the Wii Play, it comes with wiimote and minigames)

then you would have to buy 2 more wii motes/numbchuks (maybe a additional numbchuk, I don't think wii play comes with numbchuk)

Then buy some family friendly games

Wii Play does not come with a nunchuk, just a remote.
