Wrestling DVD Release List

WWE DVD Release List (pdf)

Repeating the previous rules:

The thread is to have a discussion on all wrestling DVD related topics.

There is another thread, which I have to update, that has the upcoming DVD releases.

For weekly wrestling discussion, you can go to the Sports forum at DVDTalk, where MovieExchange keeps a very nice weekly thread with all the news pertaining to pro wrestling. He even has Pay Per View contest!

Don't post active ebay auctions. Don't talk about bootlegs. Don't threadcrap. And please keep general wrestling discussion on the Sport section of DVDTalk.

Let the talking begin....

I found the limited edition tin of Wrestlemania 23 at my local Gamestop (Medford, NY) today for $12.99. They also had ECW Bloodsport for $1.99 but I already had that. I have the Blockbuster 2-disc version of Wrestlemania 23 for trade/sale now.

Received a notice that Best Buy shipped mine yesterday. Of course it went by their usual Pony Express (UPS Innovations bullshit) route so I'll be expecting it about a week after release. Someone please explain how Amazon's free shipping gets to me faster than the price gouging $3 shipping from BB. It's funny how it supposedly saves money shipping from OH and then going to IL via Kansas City. It makes absolutely no sense at all.

Not sure about you guys in the states but you fellow Canadians might want to check the dump bins at Blockbuster. They are having a 25% off all pv'd movies right now. I found WWF Invasion after discount for $4.11. They also had Survivor series 2002 and 2001 for $6.99 each. I would have picked 2001 up but it didn't have the case.

ive got a question that wasn't anwsered in the other thread. Since i'd be getting wrestlemania 24 mainly for Flair's match and the money in the bank match, and the hof, should i pass up on it since the flair match and his speech on raw is going to be on the Flair dvd in june? i remeber hearing good things about Edge vs Taker.

Despite the ending of the match yeah, I found Edge vs. Taker to be a great match. Other than that the Flair and money in the bank matches are really the only things I recall being any good about it.

It'll also be a great dvd for anyone who likes entrances saying everyone had to walk a bloody mile to get to the ring. The short promo with Kennedy and Kim(whatever her name is from 24) was humourous too now that I think of it.

This has probably been discussed before, but I can't find it. Is there any difference between the blu-ray WM24 and the DVD version of it? (besides the picture quality)

I haven't seen this years WM yet, but I'd say it'll be worth picking up just for the HOF alone.

Aside from picture quality, the DVD is 3 Discs and Blu-Ray is 2 Discs, same material

Circuit City -A Mini Signature Moves Booklet, Looks like the one that was included when you bought the Smackdown v. Raw 2008 PS3 L.E. Set.

The FYE/TWEC Exclusive WM24 TIN is only for the DVD version.

Some other FYE Exclusives not yet reported anywhere... New "presales" listed, I think most had a 10.14.08 Release Date.
Icons Tin
Legends 1 Tin
Legends 2 Tin
ECW Tin

just found this on a website:

WWE is putting together a DVD on Curt "Mr. Perfect" Hennig entitled The Life and Times of Mr. Perfect. They are currently interviewing people for the project. The two-disc set is scheduled to be released on September 9, 2008.

too bad its not a 3 disc set.

I hope they include the complete Flair/Perfect Loser leaves town match from RAW 93 unlike on the best of RAW DVD.

I'd also like to see his Intercontinental Title win over Tito Santana in the finals of the 1990 tournament after Warrior had to vacate it when he won the world title from Hogan. Any match he had with Bret Hart that hasn't already been released would be AOK with me too.

I just got back from Wal-Mart. Picked up the WrestleMania/McMahon combo pack. Had a problem, it rang up at 24.96 even though it's listed at 19.99 on their website. The electronics guy insisted this was the correct price. I bought it anyway, figuring I could come back to the store once they have the price tags up, see it marked 19.99, and use my receipt to get the difference.

Anyone else have this problem?

Does anybody who has the WM24 set know if the RAW celebration for Ric Flair they had the next night was included? I was going to wait until I got an HDTV to purchase this, but that might persuade me to double dip on this set.

I've got the dvd in front of me and it says nothing about that being included. Only bonus feature listed is the 24 man battle royal for a shot at the ECW championship. It was mentioned in the last thread that it should be appearing on the Ric Flair dvd set coming out in July.
