Cast Revealed for NBC's 'Celebrity Circus'

Wanna bet this is the next "Secret Talents of the Stars"? NBC has officially hit rock-bottom.

(FROM VARIETY) – NBC has announced the stars participating in this summer's Celebrity Circus series, to be hosted by Joey Fatone: Christopher ''Peter Brady'' Knight (My Fair Brady), former supermodel Rachel Hunter (Dancing With the Stars), soap opera star Antonio Sabato Jr., Grammy-nominated neosoul singer Blu Cantrell, Olympic swimmer Janet Evans, and Jason ''Wee Man'' Acuna (Jackass). The show, which debuts with a 90-minute premiere on June 11, features celebrities learning circus stunts, like the high wire, flying trapeze, and fire dancing. After training, contestants will perform and then face the verdict of judges and viewers. (Variety)

Yeesh, what a sorry group of "celebrities." This show doesn't even have the trainwreck factor going for it. No way this lasts for long.

And Joey Fatone continues to confirm my suspicisions that he'll do anything for a dollar.

Well, to be fair, the Circus of the Stars turdfests from the 70s offered the same z-list level of celebrities.

Angelina Jolie walks a tightrope while George Clooney's Ocean's 11 cast exits from a tiny clown car.

First thing I thought of...I enjoyed that when I was a kid. There was always one chicken celebrity training dogs to do pet tricks.

I'm only surprised Fox didn't rip this one from CBS.

I could't help flipping to it now and then. I think I saw 4 of the acts. Now I know why people say you can't turn away from a trainwreck.

And the gay judge hitting on every male celebrity got old really fast.

I had it on, but I can't really say I "watched" it. It seemed like it went on for 9 hours. I used to like "Circus of the Stars" when I was a kid, and at least they were has-beens I had heard of, unlike most of the ones last night.
Check out this list:
http://www.tv.com/circus-of-the-star...4/episode.html
Come on -- Joey Heatherton, Abe Vigoda, Rosey Grier, Martin Sheen...that's talent!

I didn't realize it was going to be another inane "competition" with judges and audience voting - I thought it would be just celebrities doing circus acts with clips of their training. That formula worked well back in the 70's/80's, I don't know why they are trying to rip off the dancing show.

It was something like $250,000. I caught the end but I have to say that the Boy Scout uniforms worn by the models was hawt.

Back on topic, this show reminds me of the celebrity ice skating show: the celebs will be able to perform the routines but not be able to "take it to the next level" performance-wise unlike a show like "Dancing with the Stars." That being said I think Antonio Sabato, Jr and Janet Evans have the athleticism and showmanship skills to do very well but the rest of the cast... not so much.

I gave it a shot out of boredom. It wasn't that exciting. This might have been okay as a one-time special, but as a multiple episode competition? I just don't get it.

I also had to laugh at Blu Cantrell after her sub-par performance, talking back to the judges and cockily proclaiming that "the fans" would support her. What fans? Blu Cantrell fans? She's had one hit song and that was seven years ago.

That said, it was nice to see Stacey Dash again. She's still gorgeous... I can't believe she's 42.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Nothing exciting but enough to entertain. Better than America's Got Talent anyway. Why would these celebrities risk being injured for this? And I like Blu. She's only had one big hit but she's a good singer.

For me, this was one of those "I can't find the remote, and I'm too lazy to get up and find it/change the channel" moments.

I wish I could say that I enjoyed it, but it was just not my cup of tea. The 500 crowd reaction shots got old extremely quick, and the boy band guy host is far too annoying for me.
