Anybody still playing C&C Red Alert 2?

Anybody still playing C&C Red Alert 2? Just started a couple of months back upon a recommedation of a friend of mine. We play online occasionally. Anybody else into this game and want to play with a newbie? Let me know.

Great game, I'm hooked. I know its not the latest and greatest of the C&C series, Generals is, but I just the same, this is one heck of a real-time strategy game.

Just got it the other day from EA (90cents, thank you EA) ... And i've already beat the Allied missions. Just started the soviet missions tonight. Haven't gotten around to playing online yet. You'd probably beat the crap out of me.

I used to be damn good at that game, played it relentlessly. Haven't played it in about 2 years, but I'm sure it's still fun.

Try to play skirmish mode vs the computer. Loads of fun!

Better yet, try online play once you get the hang of it. Lots of strategies to try out...

Skirmish is kinda hard when you do 3 on 1 or even 2 on 1. The game's AI will just pound the crap out of you. I like playing th Iraq team on skirmish mode. Desolator's ready!

Both Red Alert games are awesome.

C&C was the only PC games I REALLY got into, ever.

This game was the sole reason why I bought a link for the Playstation. We'd be up till dawn in college playing skirmishes with 2 PSX's and 2 TV's.

Then again we were up till dawn for most nights anyway.

Memories...

Yeah, there wasn't much else you could do with that link cable...

We had a pretty cool setup when we did this, too. We'd take two 13" TVs and put them in the middle of our rectangular kitchen table with their backs against each other... then we'd sit on opposite ends of the table and face each other battleship style.

"For king and country!"

Skirmish mode with the computer is great. Just fortify your defenses first coz the computer AI will throw everything at you offensively.

Skirmish mode with others are even better. Anybody interested in playing?

Heh, I still have a shrinkwrapped copy of the original Command & Conquer (not Red Alert) on my shelf. I stopped playing PC games around the time that came out.

Only until you get good. I stopped playing the skirmishes because they got boring. I would put as many brutal AI's that would fit into the mape, and they still couldn't beat me. (Not to brag or anything. I am just saying they are very predictable which makes them easy.) Playing skirmishes on LAN or online is the only way to go - people aren't as predictable as the AI. I actually broke out good ol' RA2 the other day because I read a news article about Tesla coils.

LOL, the Grand Cannon/power plant creep. Poeple would get so annoyed online when that worked . I was a hot-keyed Black Eagle guy myself.

Most overpowered unit ever = elite IFV. I would keep a Tanya in one and kept mowing down the U.S. airdrops idiots kept tryingto dump in my base. I would get two elite ones of those and drive into their base directly, pop out the Tanyas and pretty much win the game with those two.

Loaded up Red Alert Retaliation for PS1 on my PSP this morning. Even on the small screen it kicks ass.
