"Fire up the Quattro!"
I enjoyed the first episode. A few observations:
1) Definitely a different feel than LoM. I'm not just talking about the 80s, but the characters feel different as well. It may be that they have grown, but they feel a little subdued.
2) I feel like it's a LOT more creepy. That clown thing/guy is freaking me out!
3) I enjoy KH character and her interaction with Gene. Her approach is a nice counterpoint to Sam and Gene. Her analysis "reveal" on the whiteboard was scary.
I'm definitely looking forward to the reamining 7.

Anyways, I finished the first series a few weeks ago and while IMO it's a bit disjointed compared to LoM, it's still quite good especially as they continue to develop Gene Hunt as a character... especially in the last episode of the season.

Er, wasn't sure whether to bump this thread or start a new one (didn't see a newer thread for A2A).
Promos are out for the third and final series of Ashes to Ashes, starting this Friday.

Re: Ashes to Ashes - The followup to Life on Mars
Thanks to the thread about The Inbetweeners, I've been hooked on British TV lately. I watched most of the 1st season of Life on Mars when it was on BBCA but I'm going to go back and rewatch it then catch up on Ashes to Ashes.
Funny that American networks will copy the premise of British shows but very rarely copy the "quality over quantity" theory of seasons with a limited number of episodes and only a few seasons of a show. Guess milking every last nickel out of a show trumps ending a series before its just a shell of its former self.

Looking forward to the return of the Quattro.
I just wish this show didn't have all the voices from the future crap
