Great move for Bones!!! Bones and House are a good combination.
Moving New Amsterdam to mid-season tells me the execs at FOX probably don't have much confidence in that show.
Great move for Kitchen Nightmares! It would have gotten killed on Thursday's at 9pm.

Wow, a sensible scheduling idea from Fox. I'll be shocked if Bones actually gets moved to Friday by the time January comes around. Fox planned on moving it to Friday last year as well, but all their new dramas bombed so badly they had no choice but to rely on the proven Bones.

Moving New Amsterdam to midseason could be the kiss of death for it. I'm not sure if this show will be a serial or procedural, but I don't think any FOX show that's started midseason has done well with the exception of 24. Plus, this show doesn't even have a known cast....The lead actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who's from Denmark isn't exactly a household name.

I've seen so many ads for New Amsterdam that I was actually looking forwards to the show. It was probably one of the most advertised of the new Fox shows. This does not bode well for it to be pushed to mid season as Fox may not have liked what it saw with the episodes.
I do have a feeling this will be more of a procedural show with a main story arc.

Looks like Amsterdam is coming on afterall! Good news since I was looking forward to it only to find out they pushed back in the fall. Too bad it says, "Coming Soon". I assume they will start it up after their ruglar shows are burned off.

The premiere should get some big numbers (Tuesday March 4) after American Idol.
It's only 8 episodes, so it needs fantastic numbers to even get considered for another season when it moves to it's regular timeslot on Monday's at 9pm the week after.
