So, I'm guessing RH3 will make $52m and BU will have a decent 53-55% drop, which isn't bad all things considered.

17 SKINWALKERS After Dark Films 737 $175,000 -- / $237 $175,000 / 1
After Dark Films really can't grasp the concept that some movies belong straight-to-video (Captivity, Horrorfest flicks, and the horrendous Skinwalkers).
I think Bourne will have a high 40s% drop when all is said and done.

RH3 is doing about what I expected it to do. I really hope they don't do a part 4, although I'm sure Chris Tucker is wishing for it so he doesn't have to work for another 4 years.
Skinwalkers? Big surprise. I wonder how long AD can last tossing money in the shitter by giving these crap horror flicks a theatrical release?

Why is it that every movie I love bombs at the box office?
Stardust, Perfume, Grindhouse, Zodiac, etc...
All these shitty inferior films like Harry Potter, Transformers, Shrek, etc...
It's just not fair I tell ya!

I hope Stardust has legs. I saw it yesterday and the whole audience (including myself) loved it! Everyone was laughing and cheering at the appropriate moments and there was even some applause at the end. Probably my favorite movie of the summer.

I don't personally think Potter is inferior as just not to your taste (the filmmaking is quite good) but I tend to be upset that niche flicks don't do better as well.

Well, Perfume did great in other countries and I found it to be one of the most consistently enjoyable films so i that didnt surprise me when it failed but it is still a shame to see that Americans wont seek out good movies.

And to "The Bus". I agree with you. The trailers for "Stardust" are CRAP! I'm so glad I went instead of going with my gut feeling. Because it's really a special movie.

I loved "Perfume" too, and I think part of the problem in the U.S. is the lousy way Paramount distributed it. They gave it a NYC/LA release in time for awards consideration, but then didn't give it the promotional push it needed to actually get the awards. Then they put it in 280 theaters in early January, again without enough promotion to do it right. They were really half-assed about the whole thing, and it's no wonder nobody saw the movie.
Back to the topic at hand, I'm delighted by the lousy showing of "Skinwalkers." The AfterDark people really do need to learn a few things about the business, and this should be a good lesson. (I posted a review of the movie, but it doesn't seem to have gone live yet.)

Still liked Harry Potter more though.

Anyways, Daddy Day Camp bombed pretty hard at the Box Office. It's a real shame that Cuba Gooding, Jr. doesn't star in some "quality" movies instead of garbage like this. He's such a damn good actor. No Reservations didn't do that great at the Box Office overall & I doubt the sales of the DVD will be that impressive either.
Rush Hour 3 only made $19,085,000 at the Box Office? I always thought the Rush Hour movies made alot more, or is this the "third one is bombing" situation. The Rush Hour movies speak TBS material in my opinion & thats about it.
