Dunno about game of the year, usually a game of the year is one that has more mass market appeal, something I don't see this having. Of course, if you just mean your personal game of the year..
First thing I thought watching the video, was Jet set radio feel, just with that funky style and some (not all) of the music. But be warned, it's not till half way through the video that u actually get any real gameplay. I'm still not sure exactly how the touch screen will work, is it 100% touch screen controlled? Apart from that it looks like a standard action scroller, with bucket loads of presentation and style.

It's an action RPG where you control two battles at once. The d-pad is used to enter commands to the battle on the top screen while the stylus is used to control the battle on the bottom screen. The game is being designed by Tetsuya Nomura (of Kingdom Hearts fame).

Looks interesting. I like the art style and music, but I'm not sold on the gameplay just yet. It sounds like something I would really need to try for myself to see if it works.
