After seeing a lot of odd threads pop up around here, I figured that this one wouldn't be any more weird. The basic idea here is to keep tabs on how much each of us spend on DVDs in 2005.

Make a post here and update it each time you buy a DVD. Note what title you bought and how much was spent on it. Things like tax and shipping should be added where needed. I figured this could give a nice look into the madness come December 31, 2005. Anyone down for it?

Add me to the list of those who appreciate this thread. Knowing how much I spend can keep me from spending more than I would like. This will certainly be a great budgeting tool. I personally plan to not go over $50 a month on DVDs this year. Let's see... (EDIT: Hmmm... maybe I can actually be in the black by year's end by selling some stuff I buy this year but don't want to keep...)

EDIT: I like the idea that some members have in detailing how they get the prices they get their DVDs for. It can help direct people to some deals and give pointers in saving money.

EDIT: You may notice some purchases from pixie sticks.com. These were bought through a website that encourages members to trade DVDs for fixed prices. The name is unmentionable on DVDtalk.com (I guess because they do not pay for advertising here), so when I type this unmentionable site's name and save the up-date it is replaced by pixie sticks.com, or, if you combine the words, it will appear as spam.com.
