The Chronicles of Riddick - Did you get it?

Upon watching the movie, I keep telling myself, wtf is he saying. I was totally lost. Than after the movie, I read a brief summary of it and sort of got the understanding of it now. It seems as if a first half of the movie was missing. But I think the ending wasn't so bad.

I bought it fairly cheap at BB. Not sure if I will get it in HD though.

I am going to assume that you watched Pitch Black before you watched the Chronicles of Riddick, if you did, then I do not see how you could not understand what Riddick was talking about. However, if you did not see Pitch Black first, then I could see where you might be a little lost at what Riddick was talking about. That said, Chronicles of Riddick is a fun movie to watch, I have seen it about 5 times now and think it is better than Pitch Black.

I thought it was fairly straight forward too, but I'd seen Pitch Black a couple of times before going to see Riddick in the theater.

Yea, I guess I understand if you haven't seen Pitch Black that you might not understand what is fully going on in Chronicles.

whoa, that means a 'prequel' is already out there for you. Pick-up pitch black when you get a chance.

Pitch Black was a much better movie but I don't remember there being a great need to see it to understand Riddick.

Well some of the crap he talks about in the beginning, then Jack and the priest stuff, kinda helps to see Pitch Black.

Pitch Black: Dark Fury (animated) also bridged the gap from Pitch Black to the Chronicles of Riddick.

I watched it without seeing pitch black and had 0 problems with it. I then watched pitch black later and thought it was a horrible film. Riddick rocks it. Its not hard to realise what they're talking about at the begining as the movie progresses.

Ditto. Pitch Black blows Chronicles out of the water, but they are both good flicks.

There's a new "trilogy" set out that contains both movies and this animated show. It's usually under $20.

You know that african dude with the daughter and wife, what was his role in that movie? For some reason when he was speaking I was like deaf and didn't remember a thing he said.
