So How much Did you spend this DDD 20% OFF SALE, & What's the Most You Spent on it B4

Alright, well I'm just curious as to the amounts people dish out on these DDD sales. Since we're now in the wake of the most recent sale, I guess now would be a good time to reflect.

I spent approx. $420 this sale, which is about double what I thought I would. The most I ever spent on one was around $700...of course I've only known abou them since the summer of 2004.

How about you guys out there? I'm sure there's some big spenders out there. Let's hear some numbers.

I think around $200 this time around. The most ever was between $500 and $600 during the 11/04 sale. That and the summer '05 sale were the only ones I ever spent a lot on. I didn't spend anything during the last sale, went minimal on the summer '04 sale and likewise during the 11/03 sale, when I didn't realize what a great deal it was.

I threw about $165 their way, but being on the job search and about to start school for the year, that is much more than I expected to spend. But it was such a good price for Band of Brothers.

Only about $35 this time. I spent around $800 last year, but I've been trying to cut back my DVD spending (waiting for HD formats). That, and with over 2,000 DVDs I have near everything I want.

Around $330 the first time. Bought lots of British TV series, such as The Saint and UFO Megasets and Fireball XL5, and a few Christmas gifts which I've forgotten about!

I remember when my wife saw me with the Saint set, and when I told her I'd paid only $89 for it, she got a bit upset as she'd bought it at full retail (which is $200) for Christmas and had to subsequently return it!

About $80 this time around and $100 during the last one. Had a hard time convincing myself to avoid blind buys and just go for quality DVDs that I knew I would watch again like Ran, Lady Snowblood 1&2, KOH 4-disk and the Sin City DC.

About $315 I believe. I've participated in their previous Nov sale and last year's summer sale, both times only spending around $160 max.

It looks like I spent 491.68. If I counted right, I'm getting 51 movies/music videos and 7 TV Season/Series Sets, so 58 total, for an average of 8.48 each.

Edit: Last time I spent 598.87 and I got 59 total between movies and TV sets, so at least I'm going down a bit. I also spent a bunch more just prior to the sale last time, or the damage might have been worse.

$87.73+$11.95 (shipping) - My second participation in this kind of sales.
Last time (Nov, 2005), my first time, I only spent $28.43+$8.95(shipping).
This way, I will have something to buy in this Nov, especially the just-released items.

This year I spent more than ever before, but I made a conscious decision in November to not buy any more DVDs or go to the theatre for movies I would end up seeing on DVD anyway. I also cut out all the movie channels from my cable package. Consider I spent $50 a month on the theatre, $75 on the movie channels, and $150 per month on buying DVDs at retail, and I actually came out saving $$ this time around.

$2144.14 this time.

And let's just say that I spent less than I did in the fall '05 sale.

I spent about $550, which is pretty close to my average. Once I catch up on my Criterions, I'll probably be spending a lot less.
