Bargai or NOT a Bargain

HI

Dont be misled.
I bought the triple gift pack - Road to Perdition - thought it was a bargain at the price

At home l played it and there was not the choice of the DTS soundtrack though clearly stated in the films credits.

You obviously get what you pay for - to me this was not a bargain. I wrongly assumed I was getting the FULL picture
It would appear what you get is a watered down version.

For those of you into sound - BE WARY

regards

While I am sorry that you did not acquire what you had hoped for, this type of post would probably have more benefit if you fleshed it out with more details such as Where did you get it; How much did you pay for it and when did you buy it.

As is, this post might be moved to the Store Forum if we knew what store / e-tailer you purchased this item from.

Also, have you tried to return it?

Or is that no longer an option?

Having DTS on the movie's credits means the film may have had DTS available for playback in the theater. It has no bearing on whether DTS was used for sound on the DVD.

The credits listing DTS mean nothing for the DVD release. It simply means that it was shown theatrically with DTS sound.

There is a DVD release of Road to Perdition in DTS, it is pretty clearly marked on the top front of the cover.

Sounds like a "Bargai" to me

I think your question/comment has been answered. Always check the back of DVD, on-line specs, dvdcompare.net (or equivalent), and perhaps a DVDTalk review (if it's not a pre-order...or sometimes even if it is a pre-order).

P.S. Welcome to the forum. Also, You may want to be a little more descriptive in your thread titles.

And it's a little bit harder to find than the version you can pick up for lower prices.

Here's the DVDTalk review of the Road to Perdition DTS version. You can check out the packaging at the upper right-hand corner and read to see if it is worth the hassle to hunt it down.

danol?!

Seriously tho, like people said, you've gotta look at the features and not the credits at the bottom.
