Equilibrium Digipak:huge price difference between dvdfromkorea and dvdasian

i compare prices from dvdheaven and dvdasian when i wanted to get the R3 equilibrium digipak
i cant help noticing the HUGE price different as in
dvdfromkorea sells the digipak as US$9.99
while dvdasian sells it at $30 which includes shipping
while some users have recommended dvdasian,i cant understand why the big gap in prices??

more than likely they never adjusted their price for the price reduction that was seen last year. A lot of people this side of the ocean do this. If there is a label/distributor wide reduction in prices, many placed won't adjust for that (that I've seen).

It's like 6 bucks shipping or so. I got the Equilibrium digipak from them when it was on sale for 8 bucks, making it a total of 14 and change.

It may also be that dvdasian still has some old supply left from before the price was lowered in Korea, and they can't afford to sell the current stock at such a loss.

I've had a copy for a long time. Ordered it from KoreanDVDs.com and the service and shipping was great. It is on sale right now for $8.99 at said website. My brother ended up loving the movie as much as I dig it so I gave my first copy to him, just ordered another for myself from them.

Yes it is. Like I said this is exactly where I ordered my first copy. It is the Digipak with the foam 3d'ish C. Bale picture and DVD.

So I take it that this is a definite upgrade over the R1 version?

Well the picture quality is very nice and I'll take the DTS track hands down. Is it a PROVEN upgrade video wise, I don't know for sure. I haven't seen a direct comparison. The packaging is obviously much better if you like Digipak's, if that doesn't matter to you then I would look for a video comparison. I personally wanted the cooler packaging and the nice DTS track, plain and simple.

Like said I can't comment if it's BETTER. I actually bought this blind a long time back and ended up getting the R3 version right out of the starting gate and have never seen the R1 I believe miramax dvd. The picture quality looks great on my 50" LCD. There are a couple spots of grain but I don't know if that's intentional or what and it's nothing that will take you out of the action. The R3 has both the DD5.1 & DTS5.1 and the DTS track is definitely a nice improvement with deeper bass and nice movement in the surrounds.

For the price, R3 all the way for me.

Cool. SO is this a one disc or two disc set. What are the special features, if any, like?
