Anchorman/Wake Up Ron Burgandy NEW OOP - In Stock $31.98 @ Wherehouse.com

Anchorman/Wake Up Ron Burgandy is in stock at wherehouse.com for a brand new copy. I tested this out about a week ago thinking it was a mistake but low and behold I received my copy today. This is a good chance to pick up the OOP DVD at a reasonable price.

I got it for $18 on release day. Is this rare now?

They have it for 20 at my best buy... Should I pick it up? Is it rare?

Wake Up, Ron Burgandy sells pretty regularly on eBay for $30 by itself, so yeah, this is probably a decent deal for those who didn't pick it up on release week.

Wow, I had no idea this was rare. I picked up my two pack at Wal Mart for less than $20 during release week as well.

I got it through Columbia House a few weeks ago. It was around $28 IIRC, but the blow was softened by promos they were running at the time.

Anyhow, just a heads-up for CH members...

The Best Buys near me also recently received shipments of the two-pack. I think it may be back in print.

I think I saw one at Best Buy a few weeks ago that still had the bonus disc with it. I think it was the Bst Buy in Orange, or maybe the one in Fullerton.

I see these things everywhere. They are far from rare, and can't imagine they're of high demand.

buy this at some place that over prices dvds and will have them left over, like a Tower, or Blockbuster, I still see it at Tower.

Is the "Wake Up Ron Burgundy" worth even watching? Isn't it just slapped together outtakes? I've found the regular DVD (just Anchorman) for less than $10... Can't imagine "Wake Up" being worth $21.98.

It's $30 on half.com, and $55 on Amazon's marketplace. If it's back in stock, the market is completely unaware of it.

If you can find one with the bonus disc, grab it immediately. I sold the set with bonus disc on Ebay for $50 bucks a few months ago. Wake up is definitely worth viewing for fans of the movie. In fact, I found it more hilarious than the original movie because it featured a lot more gags with Brick.

BTW, anyone who hasn't seen it (like myself) and use Netflix, they have it for rent.

My local Tower has a copy, but it's $39.99. Personally, I'd pay $20 for this set, but not more than that. The movie was ok, but wasn't that good.

If you're a (big) fan of Anchorman, it's worth it to get the set. There's some gold to be found among Wake Up... that makes it worth the 90-minute watch. However, if you're not, just go with the regular DVD.
