Who wants a Saturday Night Live: Best of Bill Murray DVD?
Who wants a Saturday Night Live: Best of Bill Murray DVD? Seems like every other major star has gotten one (even host Alec Baldwin!), but not the guy I'd most love to see spotlighted. I would love to see some of his classic pieces on one set. Anyone else interested in this or know if one might be in the works?

I'd pick it up but I think that the reason they haven't done a disc for him is that most of his signature charaters haven't aged well and his other great work on the show was always in ensemble skits where others were highlighted. Personally I can't stand the nerds and could only take one or two Nick the lounge singer skits on a disc.

I'd buy it, but I'd probably pass on "Best of SNLs" for "first five years" cast members Chevy Chase and Garrett Morris.
What I'd really like to see...but it will never be released... would be a "Best of SNL 1984-85," the single season which had Billy Crystal, Christopher Guest, Harry Shearer, Rich Hall, Pamela Stephenson, etc... as cast members.

The VHS Best of Chevy Chase that was released 15 or so years ago in a box with the same Bests of John Belushi/Dan Aykroyd/Gilda Radner that made it DVD recently is actually pretty good. Lots of Weekend Update (including news for the hard of hearing), Land Shark, President Ford, the Muppets spoof, New Shimmer Floor Wax/Dessert Topping (you cow), and the fantastic job interview with Richard Pryor.
I'd definitely pick Chevy up, as well as a Bill Murray DVD.

As much as I love Bill Murray and SNL past, I have a hard time thinking of any memorable characters or skits he did.
