Getting Xbox to work with my DVD player?
I have an Xbox (the regular one, not the 360), that I've had for about two years. I have it connected to my TV via the RCA plugs. I also have an APEX dvd player connected to my TV the same way. I have both my Xbox and DVD player pluged into Y adapters so that both can be connected to my TV at the same time. The problem I have with it, though, is that when I want to watch a DVD, I have to either unplug the Xbox RCA cables, or unplug the main RCA cable from the back of the Xbox unit. If I don't do this, my DVD screen is very dark and there is no sound (THIS HAPPENS EVEN IF THE XBOX IS TURNED OFF!). I am looking for a way that I can have both systems hooked up to my TV without having to unplug either every time I want to use the other. I am thinking about purchasing (or making) one of those switching units where you can plug all the RCA cables into one box, then plug that box into the TV, but I don't know if that would fix the problem. Any help would be much appreciated.
