Is the Amazon a9.com (pi) discount dead?

Sorry if this is common knowledge. I always forgot to use it in the past, but I want to now if it's not dead. I did search here, but couldn't find anything. (Maybe I didn't use the right search terms.)

Thanks.

Alive and kicking...

It may take you a day or two for it to kick in. Good luck.

Cool! Thank you for the prompt reply.

Too bad the discount isn't available immediately, but I'll use it for a day or two in hopes that it works. I'll really be annoyed if the Homicide: LotS sets go up in price before the discount kicks in. :O

I typically do an a9.com search a few times a week to keep my discount active.

Yeah, you should really get into the habit of using A9 whenever you would normally use Google. Then you don't have to worry about losing the discount.

Yup - I just switched my Google box to A9 in Firefox and use it a couple times a day - same results plus pi/2 off.

i'm not sure how frequent you need to use it, but i do know that you don't need to use it a couple of times a day.

i check my amazon account a few times a week and i insert a random word into the a9 box to "search" maybe 3 to 4 times a week and i still have the discount showing.

I just finally got this discount. I hadn't ordered much from Amazon in a while, but am really starting to pick it up (christmas). Got active on the 11th, just a few days ago, I believe on the third day of searching. I try and do a search or two every couple days or so.

Why not just use it all the time? I do. Much easier to type that "GOOGLE.COM", and I always get decent results...

because your searches are "tracked" and amazon could use it for whatever sinister purposes. that's the whole reason they are offering the discount, they get info on your habits.

It's nice that they take the discount AFTER shipping. Got Fantastic 4 pre-order in my gold box, and after the discount and Amazon prime trial membership it was only $15.08 with 2 day shipping.

I just search for my own name. Let them try using that for sinister purposes!

Well I like the fact that I knew I got some decent hits from a prior search and can scroll back through my history to find those hits again. I guess I SHOULD be more concerned about the sinistrations they can wager with my keyword search "recipe pork fried rice".

You may notice a sudden surge of spam from Asian gourmet food sellers!

I believe in the past it was figured out that you have to do one search a week to keep the A9 discount active. That's worked for me at least.

I guess I didn't use their searches often enough so now the icon is gone and I don't get the discount. In the past, when this happened, I just needed to do a few searches for 3 consecutive days to get it back but that hasn't worked this time (now going on 6 days).

Does anyone know what the current formula is for getting this dioscount back?

The website says you only need to do a search about once a week to keep the discount active but I was doing searches 2-3 times a week and mine disappeared a few weeks ago. I did 3-4 searches a day for 8 days before mine finally came back. Now I do 1 search a day.

Good to know I am not the only one this has happened to. I lost it last week and have been trying all this week to get it back with no success.

I lost it briefly but got it back the other day, and just made an order so it's still working.

Lost it about 2 weeks ago and haven't had it since, sent an email to CS and they send me a $10 GC...A9 still doesn't work but the $10 GC was nice..

You're lucky getting a GC from them. I had order problems with them a few times and all they gave me were canned emails...
