It's an awesome show. But be warned that it only ran one season. They did wrap it up well as I recall, but also opened the door for lots more. Similar to how Carnivale ended I'd say. It will leave you wanting more, but there's no more to be had.

You could always start watching FIRST WAVE, which has a similar feel + BONUS aliens.

I might get this just to see the last two episodes, which I missed.

Has this shipped for anyone yet? Most etailers seem to have it but DVDempire is still "on order"?

I placed my order on November 1st, yet it shows "Out of Stock" for me. You'd think that two months would be enough lead time to make sure you get a copy...!

mine hasn't shipped...kinda strange..dvdempire is usually pretty good about sending pre-orders...someone can try their online live chat help thingy if they want and ask about a ETA but I doubt it'd be much help..

According to their CSR they had a problem w/ the distributor, they hope to have them in and start shipping them before the end of the week.

I'm tempted to order this at the current price. I've heard really good things about the show, and a 9 disc set would be a nice piece to add to my collection. Maybe the dvd will do really well and the show will come back. Its a long shot, but maybe.

I sent a message to CS asking what is taking so long. Every other retailer seems to have it, so I'm not sure why they haven't gotten it yet. I'm hoping maybe they'll send me a coupon or upgrade the shipping to make up for the delay.

I just contacted DVDEmpire support via live chat, was told the same story of problems with the distributor. I asked whether any discount or free shipping would be given to those affected by the delay, he asked me to wait a couple of minutes, then came back and said that he had applied free expedited USPS shipping to the order. FWIW, better than nothing!

Yeah I just got a response back and they said they are hoping to start shipping them tomorrow and that they would upgrade me to first class shipping for free.

just tried their live support thingy ..was bored..dude said they should be going out monday...

Thanks pilot, as well as the others. I'm going to skip calling for expedited shipping. I have a half dozen other sets still in the queue before this one. No rush for me, just glad to see it finally shipping.

You may want to call anyways as they will give you completely free shipping, not just a free upgrade to expedited shipping. My set is now showing as $28 w/ the $1.00 coupon I already had applied to the order.

I already had paid in full for mine but now it will go out with expedited shipping. Thanks for the updates guys!
