I watch it every week. Some of the best writing on TV right now, very Northern Exposure in tone. Plus, Lauren Graham is hot!

I wish I started watching it from the get-go. I haven't seen an episode yet, but have only heard great things about it.

I don't think she'll end up with him. They're definitely getting her closer to Luke, which I like. They have a good chemistry.

I agree. Luke cracks me up the way he acts towards the people in the town also.

Rory is really cute.

It's amazing that a girl came along with a rounder, funnier shaped head/face than Katie Holmes.

I was forced into watching an episode of this show last week (and God-forbid I missed Friends!! ) and wasn't very impressed with this show from the WB. It was definitely chick-fodder... Whiny girls (and woman) going on and on about the trials and tribulations of their lives... and they all talked like they were on steroids... so much and so fast... left a bad taste in my mouth.

I know I am not in that show's target audience... Go figure

By your definition I am not in the shows target, since I am not a chick. What I am is a 22 year old male and I have to say I love the show.

I discovered it one week when Survivor wasn't on and Friends had the old, two Friends fall for same girl and then try to ruin each others date...hmm, never seen that before.

So I watched it and I instantly became a fan. It's got great dialogue and characters. Sure it's supposed to appeal to women, its about a mother and daughter relationship. I'm not a scientist, but I still enjoy CSI, I don't work at the White House, but I enjoy West Wing.

Whiny girls (and woman) going on and on about the trials and tribulations of their lives... and they all talked like they were on steroids... so much and so fast...
But I'm a fan of Sports Night and the West Wing, kings of the fast talkers and snappy dialogue.

I love the show too, and I really enjoy it. I think it's a little messed up though, it's run by advertisers that set up a fund to create "family friendly primetime programming". I still like it though.

I have seen several episodes and think it is a really quite good show. I saw a few episodes here and there last year and saw it when they were showing reruns in Roswell's time slot for a while. Now that Survivor is over I'll probably watch it since Friends hasn't interested me in a while.

I don't know about that. If they do, I hope they slow down the accelerated pace at which they've been throwing it at us in the past few episodes. may fall into the "Who's the Boss" syndrome. Once they get together, the show always suffers and becomes horrible.

I'm a 48 year old male and haven't missed an episode.
I think this and Ed are easily the best new series
this year and among the best for the last five years.
Just because the two main characters are female hardly
makes it a chic series. Especially when they look the
way they do.

Look at my teeny tiny words.
I have to agree with you Rand, this and Ed are definately the two new series which I will certainly be watching next year.

cool...

I didn't know you guys liked the show that much. I do like Sports Night and the West Wing's dialogue, but it's done differently and the dialogue itself is better than TGG.

I guess the fact that I was able to pick up the story line pretty easily (first episode ever) is a plus in it's favor. Still...

Isn't Luke married? Or was that just his girlfriend?

Alright, I'm being a little tongue-in-cheek with the subject, but just a little.

I've heard that this show is very smart and funny and original. I've never watched it but might give it a chance in reruns. Being a guy, I'm looking mostly for guys' opinions - is anyone man enough to admit they watch it? If so, do you like it? Thanks dudes.

Yes, it's okay. Be your own man!

I've watched about 8 episodes. I've really liked 3 of them, thought 3 were okay and thought 2 were really bad.

It's only okay if you lust over both the mother AND the daughter, and spend the commercial breaks imagining various activities of various degrees of illegalness.

Of course it's OK ... I guess. I mean if it's okay to watch Dawson's Creek, Jack & Jill, etc ...
