Searching disabled?

I was trying a search and it came to a "search has been disabled" page.
tried clicking the link to go to the search page and got the same message

I think Geoff posted in a thread that Search will now be disbaled during peak activity to try to keep the site from slowing down. So far, IMHO, it sucks. I've had that message come up several times in the last week.
