Total Recall was somewhat of a disappointment. I was excited to watch it
but when I did I found the picture and sound
only fair. A great movie that was not done
justice with the dvd transfer. I feel it is
still worth having. Hoping for a dts release
in the future.

Are you looking for a review of the movie or the DVD? The movie is a great shoot 'em up action type with a decent plot. It's probably my favorite Arnold film. The DVD is nothing special. No extras, but has a good video transfer.

It's been years since I seen Total Recall.
The one part that I remember is when the lady opens her jacket / pulls up her shirt (can't remember exactly what happened) and she had those 3 big t*ts. They looked nice!
The guy said something about wishing he had 3 hands.

I wouldn't say it's the greatest sound or video but the sound is remixed (5.1 digital) and packs a pretty good punch and the video, while not perfect, looks infinitely better than my VHS copy--MUCH better color/detail/etc. (in fact, since it has both pan n scan and widescreen, it makes a great compare/contrast demonstrating DVD vs. VHS because the VHS looks so unbelievably crappy).
I'd get it, even without the extras.
