On a MNF telecast, Howard Cosell said 'look at that little monkey run,' in reference to Redskins WR Alvin Garrett.

Jimmy "the Greek" Snyder was dining at a DC restaurant one day when a local reporter asked him about blacks in pro sports. Snyder replied that whites were holding on to coaching jobs because, with blacks dominating the playing fields, management was the only role left for them. "The black is the better athlete," The Greek said. "And he practices to be the better athlete, and he's bred to be the better athlete because this goes way back to the slave period. The slave owner would breed this big black with this big black woman so he could have a big black kid. That's where it all started."

I am pretty sure that Jimmy was also on his 3rd or 4th martini at the time.
