All work and no play make homer something something.
I have to say the main thing I enjoyed about Ready Player One was the entire Shining sequence. Don't even remember the rest of the movie.

Re: The Shining Discussion -- questions, theories, spoilers, etc.
I was only 7 when this movie was released so I obviously did not see it in theaters. But I have a vivid memory of it making a big stink at my church because the youth minister there took the youth group (teens) to see it after church on a Sunday night as a group function and my Dad pitched a fit. He was the pastor there. There were meeting about it and possibly the youth leader either got fired or at least reprimanded. I will have to ask my dad what ended up happening. I haven't thought about that memory in a long time. They had an entire "closed" church meeting about it. "Closed" meaning no kids, deacons only and maybe the parents of the teens.
Now I suddenly feel like I need to go see this in the theater.

If you watch David Lynch's Inland Empire backwards it explains the meaning of the photo at the end of The Shining.
