Nothing's Shocking is the only Janes album I still listen to occassionally. I never cared for Ritual as much as I did Nothing's Shocking.

Same here. Just held up over the years. RH was a favorite years ago but over time it just didn't hold up.

tough choice. nothing's shocking is my pick because, as others have stated, it's stood the test of time. but ritual has three days, which is just amazing.

To me 'Three Days' is the best Jane's song, period. For a long time I'd have picked Nothing's Shocking but I listened to Ritual the other day after numerous years. The album is a rock masterpiece. Shocking does flow better overall, but Ritual is more experimental, epic, the guitar and drum work is sensational and the aforementioned Three Days is like four distinct songs weaved together into one amazing work of brilliance. It always carries enough power to justify its length, never gets dull and when it reaches it's peak near the end it's on the same level as Stairway to Heaven, at least imo. Indulgent in parts, to be sure, but the album is also melodic, raw, and nothing less than brilliant, the most valid musical statement from this band.

Ritual by a country mile, IMO. NS has a little too much filler-sounding stuff for me (the first three songs). However, Summertime Rolls and Ted, Just Admit It are tanfastic.

Both are fantastic, but I give a slight edge to Nothing's Shocking.

No one's calling for Strays to be on the poll? Anyone???

*crickets chirping*

I'd probably say Nothing's Shocking, but it's a close race.

I like Ritual alot better. Some highs on Nothings Shocking, but also some significant lows.

Nothing's Shocking, easily. I like Ritual, but nowhere near as much as Shocking.
