Does it have the normal DVDs, just without the slipcovers? I bought the whole series from RightStuf last year for 100 bucks or so, but this is a great, great deal.

No slip covers. That's why I picked it up to look at it in the first place. I wanted to check if it had the covers. If you got the Heat Guy J three pack, the four DVD's comes in a box just like that one.

How'd you do with the slip covers, BTW, on your RS order. I'm going to orders the 3, 4, and 5 covers next time I place one at RS.

Pretty good, considering. After getting the 3,4,5 covers in a separate order, the only two I'm missing are 1 and 2 (I think I have two 3s and two 5s, though). I've been trying to buy the box with volume 1 with slipcover, and I've seen it a few times locally, but at retail... if anyone has a source, please let me know (of course, then it would drive me crazy that I don't have a volume 2!).

How are the artboxes? Nice artwork?

So is the $39.99 a misprice, or just a good deal? I've been wanting to pickup all of the 'X' volumes, but I have enough stuff to watch right now.

Artwork looks decent... but plastic? The boxes? Or are they cardboard? If they're actually decent chipwood boxes (like Gungrave) and not the thin fold-up kind (like Rahxephon) I might go take a look...

I haven't seen gungrave but it's just like the box the Heat Guy J 3 pack comes in. I have that.

Suncoast B&M is having $5 off any anime title $19.99 and up. Not a hot bargain but it's better than paying full price if you want instant gratification
