Whatever happened to The Outsiders SE from Warner?

Remember reading this one was going to come out sometime in the fall, featuring an extended director's cut from Coppola, but haven't heard anything since then. Anyone know?

no news...sorry. just support from another fan of this film. I've been waiting as well and I've been holding off watching the current disc again. maybe I'll watch Rumble Fish instead....just to pass time while waiting.

Wasn't there some article about Diane Lane that mentioned her participation in the commentary on this DVD? I thought I remembered hearing that around the time Under the Tuscan Sun hit theaters.

I also read in ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY last year that it was coming out in fall 2003 and that came & went.
Wasn't there any mention in that Home Theater Forum Warner chat of a week ago?

I was the one who posted the EW article on this forum. I tried searching for it, but the search did not bring it back.

But I do remember posting it.
