MTV Aeon Flux (DVD, 1997)

Hi, I wanted to buy this DVD when it went Out Of Print. But there was no way I was gonna pay more than a $100 on EBAY, since that is the only place I could find it. But I noticed recently the bidding has dropped to $20 being the lowest. Any word if there is a Re-release, seems like a lot of sellers are trying to sell their copies. Should I go ahead and buy it or wait?

I know there's a movie being made by Paramount with Charlize Theron that should be out next year so I'd guess there's a likelihood we'll see a release of the entire series around that time. I believe the old disc was issued by Sony and didn't include every episode.

I'm pretty sure they're prepping something...the name of "aeon flux' has been paraded around recently on a bunch of stuff, like "from the creator of..."

The original disc did not have the entire series, just the original shorts and a few episodes...nothing major. I had 3 of them, all of which went the way of ebay for some serious fucking profit, about 2 years ago.

Thanks for the responses, so I guess I'll wait and hope they release the complete series.

I'm pretty sure "The Head" is bootleg, it did get a VHS release though. That was one funky show, I remember watching that and The Maxx. People used to complain about MTV not having any Music, but I thought Liquid TV and the various animated shows were 10x better than most of the videos. Like we need to see yet another 3.5 minutes of concert footage...

Well one thing that caused the price drop was the ton of bootlegs that saturated ebay of the show.

I also want THE MAXX on DVD. I recently got some of the Trade Paper Backs of this comic and it's amazing how closely it was translated into the cartoon.

Sam Kieth's The Maxx is quite incredible.. if you like the show check Sam Kieth's 'Zero Girl'... its pretty awesome also (for those of you that dont know... its a comic. lol)

I heard that Sam was approached by MTV studios about the Maxx Season's, since there has been a strong cult following and demand for the comics and Television shows.

So he's suppose to go back and release them on DVD w/tons of suppliments, I read that on one site(when it comes to mind I'll post). He's busy with work motion picture design.
