It's only $400, has a pioneer VSX-D409 receiver (100w/c) 5 speakers plus a powered sub-woofer, and does DD and DTS.

Is this any good for the price? My old receiver went out (after only 21 years, what a piece of junk), so you can probably guess I'm not the most demanding audiophile.

When I first got into HT, I think I bought the Pioneer VSX-D509, which is probably just a little better of a receiver than the one you are talking about. I think the speakers are the same. Anyway, the speakers are horrible. I only kept them for about two weeks, then went out and bought some Infinity RS series. In my opinion, you would be better off buying a seperate receiver, and upgrading speakers when you have some more cash flow. The speakers you have already will probably do for now.
