$7.99 is pretty steep for an empty box.

Plus the A/V isn't the best... I'm still waiting for the uber-boxset myself.

Box is free if you buy Vol. 1 or 2. Have it right here in my hand. :-)

HAHA We posted at the same time. It is a darn sturdy box! Standard box set material.

They also have Vol 1 & 2 available as a boxset.

Sam

I'm buying Vol 2 over there today. Guess I'll pick up the box as well if they have any left.

I'll be picking it up there today as well, and if they've got the extra box too, all the better.

My local BB had what looked to be about 1000 of the boxes, give or take... So, I'd wager that if you buy it today, you'll get one.

I was actually pleasantly suprised by the quality of the box. While not the best it definetly feels quite sturdy. Not LOTR: EE sturdy but definetly Buffy Season set sturdy. Plus it looks pretty cool.

Box is kinda cool, but they charged me a penny for it even though I purchased Vol 2. Wasn't about to argue with the cashier chick about it.

I placed an in-store pick-up for KB-V2 around midnight last night just in case they sell out of the box before I get to BB tonight.

I must have my dose of cardboard...

Nope! Won't be buying single or 2-disc versions of movies anymore.

I'll wait for the inevitable 3-disc or director's cut edition of any movie.

Anybody who buy this movie now is a fool! If you can't wait for the ultimate version to come out and must have this.. you should just rent it for now and wait for the better edition when it comes out.

Somebody posting in this thread is being foolish, but it's not anybody who's buying this movie.

There was a mad scramble for the box right at opening. People crowded around the new release table, yelling "where's the box?!?". I couldn't even grab a copy of Vol. 2. When they finally dispersed, I calmly picked up a copy of the DVD and the free box. The box is nice, but geez.

Noon today: At our BB, the guy standing at the front of the store next to the KB2 display told me to grab one quick, since they only had a very limited quantity and were going fast. Looking at the number of remaining cardboard boxes left on the shelf, I'd guess that they were down to their last 300 or so!

Took long enough...

I've watched Part 1 four times since it was released... I suspect that I'll watch Part 2 four times in the next few months... That's 8 X a rental fee. When the ultimate version comes out, I'll buy that and trade or sell the others for close (enough) to what I originally paid for them...

Tell me, what's the problem? So go on enjoying not having Kill Bill around to spin when you get the urge. Or better, giving your money to some asshat corporation like Blockbuster for a rental... The ultimate version will be out at any time (right), keep on waiting... In the meantime, I'll be hangin' out with Bill.

I'll try and pick one up on my lunch break rather then after work, just in case.

It was free. BB was so relaxed that you could have bought any DVD, or maybe anything and no charge. Cool!

Decent quality for no charge!

I'm gonna buy the box off the website later today, the closest best buy near me is over 45 miles away.
