BB Reward Zone Membership Coupon

For those of you whose memberships are expiring on 7/31 and didn't get a coupon in your email, here's one for you:

http://darius.mobius-soft.com/~andrea/bbrzcoupon.pdf

Receive 25,000 bonus points equal to $10 in reward certificates when you renew your membership for just $9.99 by August 4, 2004.

It's for memberships that expire on 7/31/04 and the coupon is good through 8/4/04.

Please be nice to my web site and don't post the link on other sites (can you say FW?)...

Not a bad deal, I do have the card and have been tossing around the idea of renewing it or not. I was actually leaning towards not just because I have to spend so much just to recoup my 10 bucks but with this deal i'm in

Thanks, hope it works

This is exactly why I am not going to renew.

I got mine for free. Now they want me to spend money to redeem their certificates just to make it free again.

If they want my business they can continue to make the program for free. I am definitely not paying for the privilege of paying higher prices at BB.

But it IS free. Actually, you make a 1-penny profit.

Membership is 9.99 and you automatically get $10 in reward certificate

Already tried copying and pasting into browser directly, still no go. Must be something to do with Adobe Reader 6?

personally, I think that this is a good program. Even at $10, you need to spend $250 to get back $10 in certificates which will pay for the cost of your membership. Plus, with the PDF file coupon, the $9.99 you spend on the annual membership will get you a $10 reward certificate so you'll be able to use that initial $9.99 that you spent on something else in Best Buy.

I only buy stuff that's on sale at Best Buy (usually 3 for $20 DVDs or video games using the $5 off Gamer's coupon).

Adobe Reader 6.0 never worked for me. Just go back to your previous version 5.0 or 5.5 and it'll work.

It looks like that was directed at certain accounts in particular, since it says how much you've earned. Not sure if it's linked, probably not since it's just a UPC, but maybe.
Anyway, when someone uses it:
* is it account specific?
* What if your account doesn't expire 7/31? can you use it, and get your membership extended?
* or, should we just wait and plan/hope on getting a similar offer? I've gotten my money's worth out of it this year, but I'm not sure i will next year. Like succubiss says, 10 bucks is a maybe, but free is a yes.

I converted it to PDF again, but this time as a PDF 1.2 (Acrobat 3) compatible file. It should be a little bit better quality, too. Give that a shot:

http://darius.mobius-soft.com/~andrea/bbrzcoupon2.pdf

I don't know if this coupon is specific to my account. The email, of course, was because it said how many certs I had earned. If anyone uses the coupon, let us know if it works. I used it this morning at my Best Buy. Or if anyone receives this coupon via email, let us know if the UPC is the same as mine or not (4-00060-31484-8).

Thanks for the coupon. I was wondering if I was going to renew & this decided it for me.

The best coupon they sent to me regarding a renewal was an extra 3 months added to my card if I renewed by 7-31-04. I was wavering on that one but I did earn approx $60 in gift certificates last year (and almost all of those purchases came from price-matching).

They emailed me the coupon last wk.

Despite a renewable being free (kind of), I've decided not to renew. For one I just got a $20 GC for buying a printer last wk, two I really don't have any more big purchases planned this next yr. (probably a couple hundred in DVD's but that's it) Not to mention I feel a little geeky whipping the card out every time i'm in line..i always kind of downplay it - "oh...yeah I guess i've got this card too.." An extra $5 or $10 isn't that important to me, I'd rather have one less card in my wallet.

If your happy, fine. It is still not free since you need to spend money to redeem the certificates. Or to look at it another way I will give them money to PAY for the cost of the membership.

Whew, my account expires on the 31st and I was about to renew. This sweetens the deal.

Artman, can you check the coupon they emailed you see if the UPC matches the one I posted above? I'm wondering if this coupon is specific to my account or if a "generic" coupon that they just emailed to certain RZ members.

I received the coupon a week after I renewed... So I sent them an e-mail to please go ahead and give me the bonus points anyway since I did renew within the offer period. Will see if that does any good.
