Stir of Echoes (only full screen?)

I've been meaning to pick up this movie, but on the back it says that its been modified from its original version. Is that (full screen) the only version out now?

the versions I keep seeing have that little thing at the bottom of the back cover that says:

"Full screen version. formatted from its original version..."

I remember asking this same question here back when I first joined. It's a misprint. The film is in widescreen.

It's an error on the packaging. I've verified this with my copy.

It's a pretty good movie, but I won't be double dipping. I'm curious what the differences will be though.

This is a fave of mine...but the first disc was pretty damn decent, so I doubt I will upgrade to the new se.

It's got a longer making of, two new featurettes dealing with the hypnosis and paranormal aspects of the film, screen tests, deleted scenes and the music video and commentary with David Koepp from the original release. It also has brand new DD-EX and DTS-ES mixes.

I didn't know about the DTS-ES...depending on reviews, I may actually have to go back on my original thoughts and get this disc.

Well, in my mind, since 16x9 is a widescreen aspect ratio, a "16x9 Fullscreen" translates (although awkwardly considering the DVD terminology used for the past 7 or 8 years) to "the movie will fill a widescreen TV, hence "16x9 Fullscreen" = "Widescreen".
