Hi, I bought a Raite 715 dvd player about month & half ago. I turned it on today & the green ON button worked. BUT my LCD front display does NOT work at all. The player works fine, except for that. I tried turning it on & off several times, but no effect.

If anyone knows what the problem is & how to fix it, aside from taking to a repair shop, please help.

Thanks,
fu510n

I haven't had a problem like that, but what HAS happened to me.. the picture gets lighter, then darker, then lighter throughout the movie.. and these are original DVD's. Sometimes the playback pauses for about 10 seconds at a time then resumes. The top half of the screen gets artifacts at times, too. I'm getting it exchanged for a new one within 96 hours. Hopefully I'll have better luck with that one.

I dont have the Raite, but about da problem with getting lighter and darker, like Ransaller, i think is a security feature, or something, it happens to mine too Toshiba 2109). Are you hooking your dvd to your tv through a VCR? It might be that.

You can't run a DVD player through most VCRs without the macrovision causing the lighter to darker picture problems. The Raite is supposed to have a code to turn off the macrovision.

Hi. Thanks for those who replied. Just to make things clear, my problem is NOT the lighter to darker pic thing. It is the LCD DISPLAY on the front of the Raite dvd player itself. It won't turn on anymore. Everything else works fine on it except for that. Please post if you had the SAME problem & if you were able to fix it, how you did it.

Thanks very much,
