as does the singer from AFI, i was flipping through the stations and saw a really dark video (while muted) and i thought for certain that it was a new "a perfect circle" song.

i almost peed, than turned the volume on, NOT APC for sure!

I wasn't aware the lead singer from live was in fight club. I guess he would be hard to point out in a house full of guys with shave heads.

I believe the Live guy plays a waiter near the end of the film?

Kinda makes him easier to spot, since he's NOT just "one of the crowd."

Remember when Lou came in and started beating up Tyler the camera focuses on a guy with long hair? Is that not him?

Although mildly amusing, I am not sure that this really constitutes a thread that is for the purpose of discussing music and I think we have had sufficient "Tool-time" here to last for a while yet.

The only question now is whether to move it to Other, as a general knowledge/novelty item, or to Movie Talk....

He's the waiter in the restaurant where "Jack" grabs Marla to explain things. She orders, "Jack" requests clean food, and Ed recommends not ordering the clam chowder.

Question about Fight Club...

My brain just went blank. It kinda happened when I was watching 2001 A Space Odyssey last week. O.K... Why did Project Mayhem want to blow up the buildings? I totally forgot the reason. I'm watching it right now and I'm trying to remember again. I know the reason for Fight Club, how they wanted to rebel against the way society wanted them to be... but what does blowing up those buildings accomplish? And why were they in the buildings? They wanted to commit suicide? Trying to prove a point that there was nothing worth living for in this world?

The buildings were the headquarters of major credit card companies & credit-reporting institutions. Setting everybody "back to zero" would supposedely create considerable chaos for the powers that be.

Exactly. it was just to rest the credit history. If you destroy all those buildings which held the credit information (Note how project mayhem was nation wide during "jack's" trip) all these finicial buildings around the U.S. would have info lost having it so that everyone is back to zero. in a sense destroying economy.

One more question... why did Norton's character blow up his own apartment? Because he was pissed at his IKEA worshiping lifestyle?
