Van Halen - hot for teacher
Morbid Angel - (anything, pete sandoval has 8 arms)
Slayer - Angel of Death or Raining Blood
Stewart Copeland - maybe his solo stuff after The Police
Metallica - anything off of And Justice for All.
Emporer - anything off of Equilibrium IX

I think you will fine more METAL drummers to tell you the truth.

If you want to hear a great drum performance try and download the live version of a song called "Triad" from Tool. Amazing stuff.

Danny Carey from Tool
Neil Peart from Rush.

Both of these guys are amazing drummers. You cant go wrong with either.

Certainly "Ticks and Leeches" by Tool. For a much less agressive, more hypnotic beat, however, I've always loved "Reflection".

I'd throw in The Grudge as well. The drum ending on that song is absolutely sick!

This guy is monsterous. Try "Biblical Violence" by Hella. Also, "The Great Curve" by Talking Heads is essential. I don't know if you mean really technical drumming, but "Optimo" by Liquid Liquid is also very percussive heavy.

Have and it is. Stunning.

I actually saw Ticks and Leeches live as well, which is a real treat. At the last couple shows I saw on the last tour Danny was in the middle of creating a drumming instructional video, so he had quite a few cameras around his set and was playing extra fills and lil things here and there to really spice it up. Amazing man I tell you.

"Tattooed Love Boys" by Pretenders.

Martin Chambers never gets the credit he deserves.

Aja by Steely Dan Steve Gadd on drums who came into the studio, read the chart, and did the song in one take.

Anything off of Parliament Live because Dennis Chambers is playing drums. Dennis Chambers is probably one of the best drummers ever at least that I ever heard.

It's hard to choose one but how about..

"Whiskey Train" by Procol Harum, with B.J. Wilson on drums. Lots more great drumming on that album.
