Tru Calling 1/22/04
"Reunion"
Tru goes to her 5 year reunion and finds out their her ex-best friend from high school will die in the school's swimming pool.
I thought it was another entertaining episode, zigging and zagging enough to keep me interested in how it'll turn out. Plus, who can be down on Eliza wet and running around the high school hallways?

I've really liked this series, but I thought this episode was one of the worst. I didn't like any of the temporary characters at all and the b storylines with Tru's friend and brother were horrible. The prom queen thing was especially bad. This episode also seemed to lack some of the Groundhog Day type elements that often make this show so fun.

The only thing I didn't get was why Candace wouldn't try to make things right when Tru offered the olive branch, since Candace was the one that drove a stake through their friendship.

Eliza Dushku soaking wet after a quick swim made the entire episode. And I won't complain about how Lindsey looked either.
Other than that it was an okay ep. Jodi Lynn O'Keefe is not the best looking girl in the world.
Harrison and Luke were kind of funny after they crashed the reunion.

I liked it
Eliza going for a swim was nice but Candace and her were both dry literally 5 minutes later(Tru said she jumped in the pool at 9:30 and when she checked her watch it read 9:35.)

I enjoyed the show. I did figure out the killer a little earlier than I should have but I did have the motive wrong (knew the book was involved - pretty obvious - just wrong about how).

She looked okay to me. From head to toe.
...and in-between in particular...

Jodi's jawline is so unsymmetrical that it's distracting.
Lindsay's cleavage was looking goooooodd....

Jodi Lyn O'Keefe does a great job playing bitches. She was the bitch in She's All That, right? She is very easy on the eyes as well.
Yep. I like the show - it's fun, but they need to do something about the whodunit aspect of it. By now, we know it is never the obvious candidates so you basically look for the least obvious person so when Tru said he was the teacher who changed her life, blah, blah, blah, it became pretty obvious at that point.
Then again, this show is probably meant for 13-year-olds.

I think it has gotten better. For the most part, there is less running although there was more running last night than the last several episode. Frankly, though, I'm not complaining about the running.

Tru in a tiara...and a catfight w/ Jodi Lyn O'Keefe...and in the pool, then w/ wet hair and a transparent shirt.
I'm thinking about pressing a case with the Writer's Guild to get a partial writing credit for my Id.
(Of course, it would have to be a class action suit...)
Looks like a Change Of Pace episode next week.

i didn't understand the guy's explanation for turning gay. Could someone explain that to me? Also, I think tru's brother is hilarious and was good in last night's ep. Next week's episode looks pretty decent. i wondered when they would address this issue...i was thinking about that happening a while ago.

Lindsay wrote a heartfelt letter to the lunkhead, but she stuck the note in the gay guy's locker by mistake, and the gay realized that if a heartfelt letter from a girl who wanted him could not elicit a strong romantic/emotional response from him, it helped confirmed that he was more attracted to men than women.
