New to the western genre and needs recommendations!
I would like to see more westerns! Good ones, too! Any suggestions from someone who has only seen Once Upon A Time in the West and A Fistful of Dollars? I loved them both, by the way.

From the spagetti side of things(Italian/Spainish)
The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
For a Few Dollars more
My Name is Nobody
Trinity is Still My Name(not the greatest thing ever, but never more than 5 bucks)
Django(the original Spagetti Western)
Hollywood/American Westerns
The Ox-Bow Incident
3 Godfathers
Rio Bravo
The Searchers
Pale Rider
High Noon
The Wild Bunch
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Winchester 73
Firecreek(the only Western pairing Henry Fonda and Jimmy Stewart)
Bonnie and Clyde(sort of a Western, definate outlaw themes)
Silverado(only after you've seen a few)
Unforgiven(only after you've seen at least the Man with No Name trilogy and another Eastwood Western)
Dances With Wolves(by no means a traditional western but it does take place goregeously photographed sprawling plains)
Easy Rider(the original "modern western")
I've heard good things but haven't seen yet(they are on my list):
Stagecoach
Red River
El Dorado
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
How the West Was Won(I'm told not the greatest narrative, but a unique experimental shooting style was attempted with 3 projectors and the Duke and Jimmy Stewart are in it.)
The Outlaw Josey Wales
Tombstone
McCabe and Mrs. Miller
The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

Not only is "They Died with Their Boots On" one of my favorite Westerns it is also one of my Top 10 Favorite Films of All-time. Glad to see someone else enjoys it as well.
As far as some more suggestions:
Costner's "Wyatt Earp" always seems to be overlooked as far as modern Westerns go (the film not yet being released on DVD no doubt contributes to this).
As far as classic Westerns go, maybe:
The Big Country (Gregory Peck & Charlton Heston)
The Last Train from Gun Hill (Kirk Douglas & Anthony Quinn)
Warlock (Quinn, Fonda, Richard Widmark)
Ride the High Country (Joel McCrea & Randolph Scott)
Western Union (Randolph Scott & Robert Young)
Major Dundee (Heston & Richard Harris)
The Unforgiven (Burt Lancaster, Audie Murphy, Audrey Hepburn)
Ulzana's Raid (Burt Lancaster)
Gunfight at the O.K. Corral (Lancaster & Douglas)
Day of the Evil Gun (Glenn Ford)
The Alamo (Wayne, Widmark, Laurence Harvey)
Yellow Sky (Peck & Widmark)
Will Penny (Charlton Heston)
Duel in the Sun (Peck, Joseph Cotten, Jennifer Jones)
Jesse James (Tyrone Power & Henry Fonda)
Bend of the River (Jimmy Stewart)
Naked Spur (Jimmy Stewart)
Night Passage (Stewart & Audie Murphy)
The Law & Jake Wade (Robert Taylor & Widmark)
Sergeant Rutledge (Jeffrey Hunter & Woody Strode)
Rio Conchos (Richard Boone)
any of the approx. 6 Randolph Scott/Budd Boetticher Westerns
Duel at Diablo (James Garner & Sidney Poitier)
Hour of the Gun (Garner, Robert Ryan, Jason Robards)
100 Rifles (Jim Brown, Burt Reynolds, Raquel Welch)
El Condor (Jim Brown, Lee Van Cleef)
Shalako (Sean Connery, Brigitte Bardot)
etc., etc., and etc.

Just want to show some more love to my favorites of the "classics": Stagecoach and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. The Ford/Wayne combination is clearly my favorite.

The Quick and the Dead--the one with Gene Hackman and Sharon Stone--was better than I expected. Viewed as a send-up of many of the western cliches, it's pretty entertaining and stylishly made.
