Pretty good episode. Some tension between the CSIs that I have not seen before. I didn't think the killer was as interesting as he could have been, and no other cases was a little disapointing.

I certainly hope they don't drag out the promotion sub-plot too much longer. I know it provides tension between a few of them, but it can only go on for so long without getting tired.

It was somewhat of a different episode for CSI (kind of like that one a few weeks ago with Grissom up north.)
You had the whole team snarking at each other, and you basically already knew who the killer was. The first half of the show was looking for the body. And the second half was just them trying to "prove" who they already knew killed her.
I thought it was a pretty episode though. I like how they are mixing up the format a little.
One thing I don't get-- why did Nick & Sara whine about Catherine getting the case, when they were still working on it anyways?

Not bad... I'm actually liking the tension between the CSIs.
Unfortunately, I had already been exposed to the true crime case on which this one was based so I had a heads up on some of the science/observations which would turn out to cement their case agianst the perp....

I didn't like knowing who the killer was in advance--that only works with Columbo for me.
The snarkiness was annoying too, and I thought the brown haired woman (Sarah?) was unprofessional for not swallowing her pride and letting the case go to the CSI who'd made a connection with the killer.

Seeing the killer at the beginning threw me for a loop. Definitely different. Mixing it up is good.
Unfortunately my VCR switched over to record ER right when they were figuring it all out about the gun.

I thought that this could have been on of the worst CSIs ever. Nothing about it was entertaining to me, there was too much infighting, there was not enough suspense. Did not enjoy it at all...

It seemed to have potential that was floundered.
It's as if they figured out halfway through the script that having the killer being fixated on one of the CSI's was a bad idea and too derivative of silence of the lambs, yet they kept a thread of it.
The tension between the CSIs was good, but not developed enough. Hopefully it will build in more episodes.
There definetly needs to be a show(s) that builds more characterization this year.
And I'd love to see a Grissom/Sara escapade.
