1. Dawn of the dead (Zombies + Shopping mall = 100% pure entertainment)
2. Night of the living dead 1990 (remake) ---> me love color
3. Lucio Fulci's Zombie (gore, gore, & more gore)
4. Day of the dead (hey, you gotta complete the trilogy)
5. The Beyond (more gore? yes, please!)

Almost my exact list, except I'd have NOTLD: ME in place of the remake.

Re-Animator
Return of the Living Dead

I haven't seen Fulci's Zombie. I see it everywhere for quite cheap. Is it worth a buy?

The only zombie flick in my collection is Resident Evil, unless you count the Evil Dead movies.

Anyone else think 28 Days Later is going to be totally awesome?

(Those that I own)
#1-NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD ('68) (ME)
#2-RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD
#3-ZOMBIE
#4-EVIL DEAD:BOOK OF THE DEAD
#5-RE-ANIMATOR (ME)

I haven't seen Fulci's Zombie. I see it everywhere for quite cheap. Is it worth a buy?
It was a blind buy for me and I wasn't disappointed. Starts off quite slowly, but a rollercoaster-ride soon ensues.
-It's got a nifty theme track
-Some of the creepiest/sickest looking zombies I've ever seen
-Highlight gore sequences
-And a brief, but memorable battle between a shark and a zombie
Proof!

Too bad it's taking forever for that DAWN OF THE DEAD 3-Disc to come out..That's definetly top 3 material right there!

I almost need a top 20. my top 5 might even change every once in a while, to reflect my current zombie mood.....therefore....here is my mood as of right now:

Zombie-Fulci
City of the Living Dead-Fulci
Shock Waves -I love nazi zombies
Let Sleeping Corpses Lie
Burial Ground

I consider the Romero films a staple with no reason to even mention them. they sit high above and rule the zombie kingdom...and everyone knows it.

Oh, and I've always considered the ghouls in EVIL DEAD to be demons rather than zombies, but darn it, that's all the zombie discs I got!
So far, at least.

1. Dawn of the Dead
2. Dead Alive
3. ROTLD

4.
5.

i nearly all the zombie movies listed, save for RE, and zombie and NOTLD are great for the genre, but there aren't many good, all around zombie movies. so i'm gonna save 3 & 4 and hope for the best.

anyone seen Undead?

Caiman, Shriek Show is releasing a 2 disc special edition of Zombie late august under the Italian title Zombie 2. The old anchor bay version dissapoints most with a sub-par transfer. It does have a commentary probably not on the shriek show re-release.

Lots of brilliant Zombie films yes, but you missed out one of the best films of the last few years.

VERSUS
this is the best film I have seen in the last year, its amazing, stunning! It is Japanese and I am not sure if any of you have seen it, but all you need to know is Japanese Yakuza, lots of guns, kung fu, and Zombies, loads of blood and guts fly everywhere. It is coming to america in about a month, go to Amazon.com canada, or DVDSOON.COM and its up for release in the 2 disc directors cut form. I cannot reccomend this movie any more, you have to see it for yourselves, everyone I talk to that has seen it really loves it and you will too. enjoy it.

Dawn of the Dead

Night of the Living Dead(1990)

Return of the Living Dead

Zombie

Burial Ground:good in a cheesy way. Silly dialogue like the Professor trying to reason with a zombie:NO! I'm your friend!".
Michael=Creepiest looking 'kid' ever!

dont forget...they are working on a domestic release of Della morte, del'amore(aka The Cemetery Man) for maybe this year sometime. if you cant wait....order the import....I just did. this is one of the better, complex zombie flicks and M. Soavi directs a great film.

The Dead Next Door and the campy Raiders of the Living Dead are both among my favs as well. add all these to my previous post. oops....also tag on Zombie Holocaust and Fulci's The House by the Cemetery.
