Who's skipping the die another day opening? (watch out for full screen version)

Well, in case you didn't know, I'm mainly talking about the dreaded Madonna theme song of the same name. Sure it might show that the dvd has a good lfe channel, and it could be essential to the plot. But its just plain annoying! I might watch that part once and skip it all together on repeat viewings.

Also, this is one of the dvd's that can be tough to figure out the different versions because the wording is in grey writing and sometimes gets cut off by the security protection thing.
widescreen

fullscreen

Personally I did't think the song was that bad...so I won't skip it.

I didn't think the song was that bad either, but I haven't seen the film yet, but in general I like Bond openings, so yeah, I will watch it at least once.

just turn the volume down if you hate the song - it's a great intro.

and how would it be tought to figure out which DVD is which? It says which it is on the bottom?!

When we are at the store, usually they have different colors to make the difference easier, but the words blend in and that big securety thing we see dvd's on in all the stores will make it tougher to figure the differnce.

I may not like the song, but I'll never skip a Bond opening.

Thanks for the heads up on the WS vs PS. I wasn't aware there would be two releases. I figured that since it's a Bond movie, it would be widescreen only. Isn't this the first Bond movie to be released in P&S on DVD?

Good thing I lucked out - I got mine from the Costco pre-order, and I dont think it had a "check here for Letterbox" option. I didnt even bother checking as I ripped it open.

Whew - dodged that bullet!

Also, for those who own it, is it a reversable cover for those who have the box sets?

You need another option in the poll for "It's not my favorite song, but I won't skip it."

I will watch it once. I'm a Madonna fan but that song to me goes down as not only the worst Bond theme song but one of the worst songs period in history. I ordered the full screen version because I hate 2.35:1. I have a 32 inch HD TV that was not meant to be turned into a 17 inch.

Hi. I can't read, therefore it's diffucult for me to distinguish between Full Screen and Widescreen DVDs even though it's clearly stated on the packaged (often more than once) and on the identification sticker on the top. These threads are an plethora of assisstance to me, who cannot read, and therefore cannot distingush the different DVDs, like most people who can read.

Hey Rypro 525 you seem to be the ONLY one who will be skipping the madonna song. Are you some sort of bush lover.

I actually will watch the song over and over again. I won't even watch the rest of the movie.

No coment (actually I don't want this to become a political thread)
I actually hate that song so much. I might just turn the volume down.

pixyboi, love your Sparkle Motion quote, I said it to someone just yesterday!

I'm only picking up this DVD for the Madonna video and making of extras. I saw this movie for her and it didn't do anything for me. First Bond film. I know the DAD theme isn't for everyone but how can't you love the strings?
