I'm also on the fence about the single St. Anger. I heard parts of it on Stern and it really was not that good. The opening was very promising but when it started to roll I lost interest pretty quickly. Need to hear it a few more times I guess.

I think St. Anger had the potential to be a good track, but the only thing I could hear thru out the whole song was that damn high-pitched snare drum beating constantly. It totally overpowered everything else.

A really -eh- track. It did nothing for me. James' vocals sounded terrible.

I'm now closing this one for a couple of reasons:
- Assuming db27 goes ahead, having two concurrent Metallica-oriented threads wil cause confusion and the napster (etc) side of the argument has already been done to death.
- If left open, as happened in Part One, some bright spark will unbdoubtedly try to "test" the rules of the forum and start posting download sites. They might even start joking/boasting about specific downloading activity of named copyright items in direct contravention of board rules and this forum's longstanding sticky announcement. [
] Oh, how we laughed.
