Black Books Series 2 (R4)

Has anyone got the R4 edition of Black Books Series 2? I'm seeingi conflicting info on the specs. I have series 1 from the BBC but their series 2 release is not scheduled until Autumn. I just can't wait :-(

However, the BBC edition of series 1 is a wonder anamorphic transfer. I've seen conflicting info in R4, both 4:3 and 16x9

Thanks in advance.

PS, the series is rip roaring funny.

I have the R4.. it's 16:9, with a trailer for S2 (same as on the S1 set) but no outtakes....

There’ll probably be a commentary on the UK R2 so it’ll probably be worth waiting.

Don't know the answer but I do know that Black Books was a Channel Four series. Is it really being marketed by BBC Enterprises in R1-land?

It is very funny, as was the almost equally surreal Book Club, although I expect to be buying the Spaced DVDs before either of those fine efforts.

I highly recommend the Spaced Discs. I have them both. They get better and better. While were on odd OK shows, have you checked out the League of Gentleman? Its another recent classic.

The Spaced discs are great I prefer S1 to S2 but they are both better than the majority of stuff on network tv here in the states.

Any word on S3? Did it even air yet?

As far as Black Books goes, is there any talk of it coming R1? I have been wanting to order the R2s for awile but keep putting it off, if there is a chance they will come to R1 then I may wait it out.

if you have region free and play pal, i'd recommend the R2. great quality and anamorphic. I haven't heard anything about season 3. Looking forward to it. Its been a while since I've seen them, I agree, season 1 was brilliant. Season 2 was very good. Especially the star wars references.

Excellent news! Just finished watching S1 and commentaries for about the third time, and wondered when S3 was on. The gap between series seems much longer than that between 1 and 2.

Spaced 3 will also be the last. See http://www.spaced-out.org.uk/ for more information on all things SPACED.
